Halsey Announces 2020 will mark the end of touring for "a very long time."
Halsey has been making her way all over Europe with her latest international tour for new her album Manic. In a recent and somewhat cryptic Instagram post the 25-year-old singer said, “I think 2020 will mark the end of me touring for a very long time.” The post shows images from her latest concert in Germany taken by photographer Jasmine Safaeian, better known by her Instagram handle @yasi. The post caption continues saying “Thank you for making the memories so special. I am cherishing every single night.”
Fans were quick to react with comments like “w-what do you mean?” Fans speculated it was because she needed time to focus on her personal life and mental health as she suffers from bipolar disorder. Others say “Halsey makes music for herself. She even says in her songs how money and fame mean anything to her, she just loves to share her music.” Many jumped in saying that at last night’s concert, “she rubbed her belly and talked about having a house and baby in the future.”

In a recent interview with the Guardian, Halsey spoke about how this is the time for her to potentially have a family. Since 2016, Halsey has been very open about her struggle with endometriosis and her past miscarriages.
A recent song “More” off of her album Manic describes her yearning to have a child. In the article, on-stage she states, “It [miscarriage] was the most inadequate I’ve ever felt.” “Here I am achieving this out-of-control life, and I can’t do the one thing I am biologically put on this Earth to do,” she continues, “Then I have to go onstage and be this sex symbol of femininity and empowerment? It’s demoralizing.”
However, she contraposes this by also stating that her “latest prognosis is positive and motherhood is ‘looking like something that’s gonna happen for me. That’s a miracle.” Perhaps fans are right that a baby is in Halsey’s future.

She is currently dating American Horror Story actor Evan Peters, with whom she spent Valentine’s Day in Switzerland. This past year Halsey listed her Hollywood Hills house which is currently pending for over $2.3 million. Back in July, she purchased her new mid-century modern home in Sherman Oaks for $2.4 million, conceivably a neighborhood more conducive to raising a child.
Fans have proved their loyalty on social media with numerous comments saying “We will support you no matter what.” Her album released in January debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 album charts. The international leg of her tour is set to wrap up in Manchester, U.K. in March before she returns to the U.S. or more specifically the Pacific Northwest in June.
While it’s not set in stone that the close of her available tour is the beginning of her break from touring, we're not taking our chances to see Haley in concert. Tickets are still available for her June concerts at White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, WA, and Sunlight Amphitheatre in Ridgefield, WA.
